HOW MY JOURNEY STARTED?

An Inner Calling

I have always been drawn to places, meeting people, new experiences, and cultural practices that carry memory. My journey began in 2003 with the River Godavari Pushkaralu, which sparked a lasting interest in rivers, rituals, and lived culture. Over time, these Pushkaralu journeys across various rivers of India—along with visits to associated sacred spaces, regional textiles, and cultural practices—became quiet anchors in my life, not as pursuits, but as lived experience.

I have always been fascinated by temple sculptures as a form of cultural documentation—recording belief, daily life, and values in stone. This deepened my interest in documenting journeys slowly and intentionally, preserving what stayed with me rather than everything I encountered.

This archive is a personal record of memory and belief, offered without instruction, to be returned to only if it resonates.

A PERSONAL VISION:

Why I Document?

To preserve lived experiences—temple travels, textiles, and cultural practices—as memory and legacy, documenting them before personal recollection fades.

A personal record, not a prescription.

Philosophy of Documentation:

I document not to capture everything, but to hold on to what would otherwise fade. What I record is guided by feeling, reverence, and time—allowing rivers, temples, fabric, and memory to weave themselves into a story that can be returned to.

Why Temples, Textiles & Lived Culture Matter?

Because they hold memory in ways the mind alone cannot. They matter because memory lives in stone, touch, and practice—not just in thought.

Purpose of the Archive:

I am creating this archive for my grandchildren and future generations. I may not remember every detail with time, but I want these stories to remain—so they can know where I walked, what I felt, and what mattered to me.
